Halcyon smyrnensis
This is a very common Kingfisher found on the South Asian Continent stretching from India to Southern China and South-East Asia. Although it is a Kingfisher, its diet is mainly insects and small reptiles. It is mostly found away from water. But, like most Kingfishers, it is extremely skittish.
