This bird appeared suddenly in a bird-wave in the worst possible lighting - backlit against a bright background. Fill-flash certainly helped here. A bird-wave will have several species of birds travelling and feeding together. It's the most exciting shooting as you try to isolate which you want to photograph, and time is very short as the birds move on very quickly. This Nuthatch stayed for less than a minute!
