White-throated
Swift (Aeronautes saxatalis) WTSW
These remarkably
fast flyers nest in this canyon called Font's Point in Southern
California and, when they fly by close to you, the sound is an
incredible whoosh! Their speed makes it very difficult, and I
have not been able to figure out how yet, to photograph them
as they approach you. Consequently, these photographs show them
flying away - not ideally great from an avian photograpic point
of view.
