This Munia is
found only in Java, Bali, Lombok and southern Sumatra. However,
Munias are popular cage-birds and some are supposed to have escaped
in Singapore and become feral there. However, I have yet to see
one in that country. Sad to say, they are regarded as pests by
the rice farmers because, as you can see here, they do ravage
their padi.
